Breaking: Orioles Sign RHP Andrew Cashner

Per sources the Baltimore Orioles have made a move to improve their two man rotation. Playing for the Texas Rangers last season Cashner posted an 11-11 record with a 3.40ERA in 166.2IP. The 11 W’s last season is the most Cashner has had in his career.

The Orioles rotation now has solidified three starters with  Kevin Gausman, Dylan Bundy, and Andrew Cashner.

What Cashner brings to the table is something the Orioles have had trouble with for years, a consistent starter. Even if Cashner doesn’t have 11 Ws this season he can still do things different from previous Baltimore pitchers. Look for Cashner to bring consistency and the ability to grind out more solid starts then the Orioles are used to. As the famous Earl Weaver says, “the key to winning baseball is pitching, fundamentals, and three run homers”.
