XFL suspends operations

The XFL has suspended league operations and has laid off employees, according to ESPN. The XFL season was cut short due to the Covid-19 virus.

The XFL was drawing big crowds and maintained steady viewership. When the league cancelled games earlier this year the plan was to continue.

The DC Defenders finished 3-2 and had moments of being one of the better XFL teams.

Hopefully the XFL will come back in some shape or form. The XFL was good entertainment and solid football for those having a Super Bowl hangover (missed football).

The XFL was also a good league for players to showcase their talents that did not have much of a chance in the NFL.

Here is ESPN’s tweet.
