The Washington Wizards claimed C Thomas Bryant off waivers from the Los Angeles Lakers. Bryant was selected by the Utah Jazz with the 42nd pick of the 2017 NBA Draft. The Lakers later accquired him, thus, leading to them waiving him. Thomas Bryant was accquired by the Lakers through a trade for Tony Bradley, which also included Josh Hart, a Shooting Guard.
Before joining the Wizards, Bryant attended the University of Indiana and played for two seasons. Bryant posted 12.2 points per game, along with 6.2 rebounds per game, all while being named for the Big 10 third team in his last college season. After being drafted, Bryant played for the South Bay Lakers, the G-League affiliate of the Los Angeles Lakers. While playing for South Bay, Bryant recorded 19.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists for the team. Bryant is listed at 6’11, along with weighing 245 LBS as his body frame. Overall, Bryant should be a huge help offensively with his ability to crash the boards.
