What a great time to be a wrestling fan!

Fall is gonna be a very busy time for wrestling fans around the world. We have more options than ever before. I’m excited about them all. There will be a lot to keep up with. It all kicks off next week.

Monday is the season premiere of Monday Night Raw. We have some awesome matches on the card. Seth Rollins will defend the Universal Title against Rey Mysterio. AJ Styles defends the United States Title against Cedric Alexander. Alexa Bliss will take on The Boss Sasha Banks. Miz TV will have two Legends as a guest on the show. Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan. Plus Brock Lesner will be in the house as well. That’s a jammed packed show.

It was announced today Raw will have a new announce team as well. Vic Joseph is moving from 205 Live/NXT UK to join the Raw team. He will be joined by a returning Jerry “The King” Lawler and newcomer Dio Maddin. Maddin is a very interesting choice. I’m not familiar with his work but I wish him well. Let’s see what he brings to the table.

Impact Wrestling makes its debut on AXS TV next Tuesday. I had a feeling they would take the Tuesday Night spot since Smackdown is moving to Friday’s. I haven’t watched their show in a while. Impact Wrestling has become the little engine that could. Every time you think they are down and out they have found a way to survive. Now that they are on a network more people get. I’ll be watching more of their shows.

The big night is gonna be Wednesday Night’s. AEW Dynamite will be going head to head with NXT. I’ll be at the AEW show in DC next week. One of the big matches on the card is Hangman Page vs PAC. That will be a good match. A new AEW Woman’s Champion will be crowned as well. Nyla Rose will take on Riho to determine the first Woman’s Champion in the company.

NXT will have a loaded card as well. Three titles will be on the line. The Street Profits get their rematch against The Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish and Kyle O’ Reilly) for the NXT Tag Team Titles. Shayna Baszler will defend the NXT Woman’s Title against Candice LeRae. Adam Cole (Bay Bay) defends the NXT Title against Matt Riddle. I’m looking forward to these matches.

They may not have a TV deal but NXT UK will be moving to Thursday’s on the WWE Network. I haven’t been keeping up with them as much but when I have seen the shows I’ve enjoyed them. I love Jazzy Gabert. She’s one of the bright spots on the UK brand. When I first saw her in the Mae Young Classic, I knew she had the potential to be something big in WWE. I like Tyler Bate and The Imperium group as well.

Friday Night Smackdown makes its official move to Fox next Friday. A lot of legends will be on the show such as Stone Cole Steve Austin, Sting, Ric Flair, just to name a few. Brock Lesner will face Kofi Kingston for the WWE Title. Lesner hasn’t wrestled on Smackdown in years. The Man Becky Lynch and “The Queen” Charlotte Flair will take on The Boss Sasha Banks and Smackdown Woman’s Champion Bayley in tag team action.

The Smackdown announce team is changing too. Corey Graves will remain but Tom Phillips and Byron Saxon will be replaced by Michael Cole and Renee Young. So now you have the former Raw announce team switching to the blue brand. I don’t know what this means for Phillips and Saxon. I’m sure they will find other roles for them.

Another show will be coming to FOX in November for WWE. WWE Backstage. It will be hosted by Renee Young and Booker T. It will air Tuesday nights at 11 pm. It will begin on November 5th. It will be an hour-long show and have news and regular guest. Renee is very good in the hosting role. She will do well with this. Booker T will be great too. He has his unique style that’s all his own.

Saturday’s will have wrestling as well with WOW Woman of Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling. I got into WOW last year. There is some very talented Woman on that roster. The show last year was built around Santana Garrett who is now in WWE on the NXT Roster. Now Tessa Blanchard is the focus of the show as the WOW Woman’s Champion. You also have talents like The Beast, Jessicka Havok, Serpentine, Jungle Grrrl, The Greatest Attorney in the World Sophia Lopez and many more. This show deserves some love too. As well as New Japan. Kenta (Hideo Itami to WWE fans) is on the roster and is a member of the Bullet Club. He’s seemed to found a home there.

John Morrison is coming back to WWE. This is a big move. I always felt he never lived up to his full potential in WWE. He had a nice run but he could have done so much more. Now that he’s back I can see him doing big things in WWE. Not matter what brand you put him on, he will shine.

Set your DVR’s ladies and gentlemen. You gonna need them to keep up with all this wrestling. I’ve been watching wrestling since I was a kid and never remember a time like this in the business. One final point, it’s ok to support all these companies. You don’t have to choose. All will bring something different to the table. So set back and enjoy the ride because it is a great time to be a wrestling fan.
