Washington Nationals’ latest roster moves: Javy Guerra, Andrew Stevenson, Howie Kendrick, and more

On the early afternoon of Sunday, August 4, the Washington Nationals announced they have selected Javy Guerra’s contract from AAA Fresno. Also, they called him up for the series this week with the Giants.

Before this call up, Guerra pitched in relief a few days ago in the Atlanta series. Guerra recorded an ER of 26 and 4.91 ERA.

Also, the Nationals announced that they called up Andrew Stevenson from Double-A Harrisburg. While, in Harrisburg he had four hits and twelve at bats.

Nationals announced that they put Howie Kendrick on the 10-day IL with a left hamstring strain. Kendrick has a 249 for at bats and has had twelve homeruns for the 2019 season.

Finally, the Nationals put Roenis Elias was placed on the I-L list with a hamstring string. Elias made an appearance on the game on Friday against the D-Backs which we won. Since, joining the Nationals he has a fourteen ER and a 4.30 ERA.
