Washington D.C. Plans to Build $65 Million ESports Arena and Sponsors NGR

After the city of Washington D.C. had agreed to sponsoring NGR ESports the city of D.C. has planned to build an ESports arena starting late 2018.

The NGR team will have Washington D.C. on there jerseys, and hopes to draw a huge fan base once the arena opens. The stadium will come online in 2019 and will have 4,200 seats. The stadium will not just be a home for ESports Ted Leonsis has announced the Washington Mystics will start to play there home games at this new arena.

NGR competition games include Street Fighter V:Arcade Edition, Tekken 7, Fortnite, Rocket League and Overwatch.

Monumental Sports has already purchased and will control Team Liquid that is known for League of Legends and the city is excited to start bringing in crowds for ESports.
