The Capitals add another talented winger to their already deep forward position. The Caps have a full roster of players returning to defend the Stanley Cup, besides Jay Beagle who was a center. Shumakov is a crafty stickhandler and goal-scorer. Sergei could easily fill the role on the third line with Andre Burakovsky and centerman Lars Eller.
Sergei Shumakov, now free agent after contract termination, is looking for a deal in the NHL. Last season he scored 40 (17+23) points in 47 KHL games for CSKA with 15 min ATOI
