Washington Capitals re-assign defenseman Madison Bowey to Hershey

The Washington Capitals have re-assigned defenseman Madison Bowey to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League. Bowey played in just one game with Hershey this season, before his promotion to the Washington Capitals. In the 2016-17 season, Bowey recorded 14 points (3g, 11a) in 43 games. In the 2015-16 season, Bowey led all Bears defensemen in points (29) and assists (25).

Madison Bowey was drafted by the Capitals with the 53rd overall pick in the second round of the 2013 draft.

Bowey has been a healthy scratch for Washington’s last nine games. The 22-year-old blueliner has notched 12 assists in 51 games with the Capitals this season.
