Washington Capitals Lose First Preseason Game 2-1

Washington Capitals Hockey is finally back! Unfortunately the Capitals lost there first preseason game in a shootout against the Boston Bruins. Only a few players from last years Stanley Cup championship played today and those players looked great.

Christian Djoos looked like he’s worked hard this offseason showing off his amazing skating skills and even made a great pass to Brett Connolly for the only Capitals goal.

The Capitals split up the time with the goaltenders and both Pheonix Copley and Vitek Vanecek has great performances. Copley stopped 21 shots and Vanecek stopped all 11 shots thrown at him.

The Capitals could’ve won the game in regular regulation, but spent a lot of time killing dumb penalties, but they did stop all four power-play chances from the Bruins. It was good to watch hockey again, and see how these young players develop.
