The Edmonton Oilers have claimed forward Nathan Walker off waivers. The 23-year-old played in seven games for the Capitals, and scored 1 goal this season. He had scored 11 goals and 23 points through 58 games with the AHL’s Hershey Bears last season. With just 79 points in 202 AHL games Walker is not going to fill the net at the next level, and by all appearances has been acquired as an “energy” player. He becomes the only rookie among the 21 Oilers skaters.
