UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier Has A New Job

Well, it appears that UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier has a new job. As of Tuesday, The UFC champion will be a Head Coach of wrestling at Gilroy High School.

“This opportunity is huge for me,” he said, via MMAFighting.com. “Wrestling has been the foundation for everything I’ve done. I’m excited to coach a great team in Gilroy and excited to give back to the town that has accepted me and my family so openly,” stated Cormier.

It’s not about the money for Cormier,  he accepted the position pro-bono. Cormier’s next fight will be July 7th at UFC 226.

Cormier takes on Stipe Miocic for the UFC Heavyweight Championship. If Cormier wins the title he will be the second UFC fighter in history to hold two titles at two different weight classes since Conor McGregor beat Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden in 2015. If Cormier can win, the real question is will he be the one to face Brock Lesnar next?
