Tyus Bowser Nominated for NFL Pepsi Rookie of the Week

The Baltimore Ravens rookie linebacker Tyus Bowser has been nominated by the NFL for Rookie of the Week after his oustanding performance against the Cleveland Browns. Bowser out of the University of Houston, was the Ravens’ forty-seventh pick in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

After impressing in OTA’s and training camp Bowser was expected to be a big part of this revamped Ravens defense. And in only his second career NFL game he made his presence felt.

Bowser came up with his first career interception with twenty-nine seconds left in the first half after the Browns had a short field from a missed fifty-eight yard field goal by Ravens kicker Justin Tucker.

The rookie returned the pick twenty-seven yards and the quick change of possession thanks to Bowser led to a Ravens touchdown with one second left before halftime. This gave the Ravens a 21-7 halftime lead and was a major turning point in the Ravens 24-10 victory. Bowser also earned his first career sack during Sunday’s game.

The Ravens have high hopes for the young, talented linebacker and hope to get many more performances like this one in the coming weeks. The link is in the description here to vote for Ravens defensive rookie Tyus Bowser for NFL, Pepsi Rookie of the Week.
