Towson Looks to Extend Winning Streak to Nine Against City Rival Morgan State
TOWSON, MD. – The Towson Tigers (8-1) Men’s Basketball team is back in action tonight at 7:00 PM in the friendly confines of SECU Arena. The Tigers will be looking to continue their best ever start to a season in program history this evening when they take on their cross town rival in the Morgan State Bears (4-4) in what is dubbed, “The Battle for Greater Baltimore”.
Coming off their Belfast Classic Championship victory this past Saturday, the Tiger team has been getting an extraordinary amount of national attention, including a vote in the AP top 25 poll, the second time in program history that this has happened. Towson cannot overlook their opponent though as the Bears are a very good inside team that will challenge the Tigers strengths.
The Towson athletic department is expecting a large crowd. There will be T-Shirts for Students and every seat in the Lower Bowl will have free glow-sticks.
My Prediction: Towson will pull away in the second half and win this game by 15 points.
