Towson Gets Bounce Back win against William and Mary

The Towson Tigers (13-6, 3-3) were able to hand the William and Mary Tribe (12-5, 5-1) their first conference and home loss on the year by a score of 99-73. The Tribe came out firing on all cylinders as they took a strangle hold on the game within the first eleven minutes. David Cohn helped the Tribe get out to their fast start knocking down three pointer after three pointer. The Tribe took a 33-19 lead with nine minutes left in the first half, but that is when the Tigers started to control the game.

Towson went on a massive run to close out the final nine minutes of the half by scoring on 30 of the final 40 points of the half. This was also helped by the Tigers holding William and Mary without a field goal for the final 4:31 of the first half. Towson took the lead for good when Justin Gorham hit two free throws at the 2:31 mark of the first half. The Tigers would not trail for the remainder of the game. The Tigers took the second half by storm as they took an early double digit lead and wouldn’t relinquish it for the rest of the game.

The Towson Tigers were lead by Mike Morsell who easily had his best game of the season, scoring 23 points and shot a FG%: .615.

Towson also had major contributions Zane Martin who poured in an addition 20 points, Eddie Kieth II who had 15 points, and Deshaun Morman who made all five shots he took and had 11 points.

Morman also had an emphatic alley oop slam during a second half 14-0 Towson burst.

Towson will be back in SECU Arena for their next contest. They will take on the Drexel Dragons at 7:00 pm this Thursday
