Caps fall in final regular season game

I am gonna keep this short and sweet for the folks at home. This game didn’t matter one bit to the Caps. Win or lose, it didn’t matter in the standings or playoff positioning. On the other hand, the Islanders They rested Nicklas Backstrom and TJ Oshie. Pheonix Copley was in net.

Goals from Valteri Filppula (2) and Matt Martin led this for New York.

The real season starts next week. Because Carolina beat Philadelphia tonight, the Capitals go up against the Hurricanes in a pretty fun looking first round for the Caps. We’re gonna release our preview soon.
