Minnesota preview-The Timberwolves ended there three-game losing streak, with a victory over the defending champions. Minnesota will not have leading scorer, Jimmy Butler, who is out indefinitely after having successful meniscus surgery on his right knee. Minnesota is hoping that he returns in time for the playoffs. The main player to watch is Towns, who in the past five games is averaging nearly 24 points and 13 rebounds per game. Towns teammate, Andrew Wiggins, is currently on a tear, averaging 21 points a game, but lately his shooting has been inconsistent, including a recent 6-21 performance from the field against the Boston Celtics.

Washington preview-Washington has lost 4 of the past 6 games. Washington defeated Minnesota back in November, 92-89 and are looking for the there first season sweep in seven years. In that win, Washington’s bench outscored Minnesota’s bench, 49-11, and were led by Kelly Oubre Jr.’s 16 points. Also, in that win, Porter led all Wizards scorers with 22, as they rallied from behind to defeat Minnesota.
