The Redskins Make Roster Moves

Re-signing Adrian Peterson wasn’t the only roster move that the Washington Redskins made on Wednesday. Before the Peterson signing, it was reported that the Redskins released Inside Linebacker Zach Brown and Defensive Tackle Stacy McGee. The move cleared up over eight million dollars for the cap-strapped club. The team tried to trade both players, but was unable to strike a deal for either. McGee appeared in 24 games over two seasons for the Redskins. Brown led the team in tackles in 2017 with 127 and recorded 96 last year. Each player showed flashes of potential but team officials felt that they were inconsistent. Brown is expected to garner quite a bit of attention on the market even though he was relegated to a backup role for the Redskins for the last four games of last season.
