The Ravens select Patrick Queen with their first round pick

The Baltimore Ravens have selected LSU linebacker Patrick Queen with the 28th overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft. The Ravens have not drafted a linebacker in the first round since C.J. Mosley was drafted 17th overall in the 2014 draft.

Queen is the first LSU player that the Ravens have drafted in the first round. Queen is smart and fast but is a bit undersized. Queen will play inside linebacker which is a major need for the Ravens.

The Ravens have a veteran defensive line and veteran secondary. The linebacker position is still in flux. Queen will have a chance to solidify the Ravens linebacker position from game one.

This is a smart draft pick for the Ravens. For the record, Ray Lewis fell in the draft and was considered slightly undersized as well.
