The Hershey Bears Shutout Bridgeport 2-0 To Tie Up Round One At A Game A Piece

In game two of the Calder Cup Playoffs Round One, Vitek Vanecek stopped all thirty nine shots sent his way to shutout the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 2-0, tying up round one at a game a piece.

Just over halfway into the first period Mike Sgarbossa scored to put Hershey on the board first. Lucas Johansen and Riley Barber would get their first points of the playoffs with assists on the play.

At 4:07 in the second period, Hershey's regular season top goal scorer, Riley Barber would earn his first goal of the play off season, making it 2-0. The final period would play out scoreless and Hershey would take game two in a 2-0 final.The Sound Tigers outshot Hershey 39-34.

Hershey will be back home to take on Bridgeport in Game Three of the Calder Cup Playoffs on Tuesday April 23, 2019 at 7pm. Tickets are on sale at the Giant Center Box Office or through Tickemaster. As always Zach Fisch will make all the calls on The Hershey Bears Radio Network.
