The 2017 Baltimore Ravens Defense is Already Historic

The 2017 Baltimore Ravens defense have been absolutely dominant to start the season, already forcing 10 turnovers in the first two games.

Coming into this season everyone knew the focus for the Ravens was defense, defense, and more defense and its most certainly paying off. The Ravens have already forced 10 turnovers (eight interceptions, two fumbles) in just 2 games, a franchise record. After pitching a shutout week 1 against the struggling Cincinnati Bengals, the Ravens only allowed 10 points to the Cleveland Browns, which should have only been three if the middle of the field was covered. Terrell Suggs’ has somehow found the fountain of you because I have not seen him play at this level since 2014. Lardarius Webb has stepped up big time at nickel corner, and Brandon Carr has already earned his contract by intercepting his second pass in as many games.

The front seven is consistently getting to quarterbacks and the dynamic duo of future Hall of Famer Eric Weddle and future Raven for life Tony Jefferson are confusing opposing play callers by lining up all over the field. Barring any significant injuries, this defense will easily carry this team for a deep playoff run. Expect a lot of success and even more interceptions this year Ravens fans.
