Terps Beat Minnesota

Maryland kicked off Big Ten play with a 31-24 win over Minnesota.  The Terps, coming off a  loss to UCF 38-10, got a big win after beating a previously undefeated Minnesota team.

Ty Johnson ran all over Minnesota in the ball game.  Johnson rushed for 130 yards and sealed the game with a huge 34 yard TD run with 1:10 remaining that helped the Terps secure the victory.  The third QB for the Terrapins this season, Max Bortenschlager had his best performance so far.  Bortenschlager went 18-26 for 154 yards, 2 TD’s and a rushing score as well.  DJ Moore was solid once again catching 8 passes for 90 yards and a score.  Moore is now tied with Stefon Diggs for fourth on Maryland’s all-time receiving touchdown list with 14.  Lorenzo Harrison also added 75 rushing yards as the Terps ran for 262 total rushing yards in the game.

Maryland will face Ohio State on October 7th.  Kickoff is 4pm.
