Terps Are a One Point Favorite Over Rutgers

Maryland is finally a favorite to win a football game for the first time since UCF when they lost Kasim Hill and the game itself.  This time, Maryland hopes things go a little bit differently.

The Terrapins are coming off a 42-39 win over Indiana at home.  The Terps are 2-3 in Big Ten play with wins over Minnesota and the Hoosiers, and losses to Wisconsin, Ohio State and Northwestern.  This game is pivotal for the Terps as it brings them one step closer to a bowl game birth.  The thing that is most impressive with these Terrapins, who sit at 4-4 with 4 games remaining, is that all they need is to go .500 the rest of the way to get them that beloved bowl birth.  And they’ve done it with four different quarterbacks.  No Pigrome, Hill or Henderson.  But Max Bortenschlager has really done well out of nowhere for this team as Ty Johnson and DJ Moore’s set-up man.

The Terps snapped a 3 game losing streak and looks to keep momentum rolling against Rutgers.  Kickoff is 3:30 on Saturday.
