Ravens week four report card

Quarterback – A: Joe Flacco’s stats may not tell the whole story. Not many quarterbacks put game-winning drives up in the forth quarter against the Pittsburgh Steelers and nobody does it on their home turf. Running Backs – C+: They were all hurt so it is really hard to judge this group. Ray Rice played …

Ravens Superbowl

The Baltimore Ravens have been receiving some national attention this summer for being possible Super Bowl contenders.  Only about five teams are considered elite every year and the Baltimore Ravens are one of those teams labeled.  In reviewing the Ravens position-by-position, it is hard to argue that they are not elite. Quarterbacks – Joe Flacco …

Last day of camp

Today was the last day of Ravens training camp and also the last day of my internship. I go back to school on Sunday to search for a job and other opportunities. I have to thank everyone at WBAL, 98 Rock, the Baltimore Ravens, and all the other members of the media that were so …

Long snapper Matt Katula released

Baltimore Ravens long snapper Matt Katula was waived today by the team, this gives undrafted rookie free agent long snapper Morgan Cox the job. Katula was roster spot was filled by cornerback Brad Jones. It just goes to show that long snapper is the easiest position to lose in the NFL. For years Katula was …

Pass attack is back

The Baltimore Ravens beat the Carolina Panthers 17-12 last night.  Here is a six pack of things that stuck out to me. 1. The pass attack looks better than it did in the first two games of last season when quarterback Joe Flacco was healthy and throwing the ball all over. Flacco hit a number …

Ravens verse Panthers predictions

Right Tackle- Offensive tackle Jared Gaither has been toying with the Ravens all year, and/or injured. Oniel Cousins will most likely get the start at right tackle, it will be interesting to see how he does. Ramon Harewood has been a surprise at camp, he is a rookie that was drafted in the 6th round out of Morehouse, he saw some action with the first team.

My first day in the press box is also a great day for fans

The Baltimore Ravens brought training camp to M&T Bank Stadium to give the fans an opportunity to see the team and the stadium for free. I thought this was great, not all fans can afford tickets to the games and never get to go to the stadium, it gave the fans a unique chance to …

Day two of Ravens training camp

The Baltimore Ravens had their second day of practices today, it was more like a walk-through than a practice. The big news of the day was that defensive tackle Terrence Cody passed his conditioning test, something that even had Head Coach John Harbaugh surprised. Two guys that stuck out today were tight end Dennis Pitta …

First day of training camp

The Baltimore Ravens had their first morning practice and I got to watch with the other members of the media on the sidelines. Linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo, offensive tackle Oniel Cousins, cornerbacks Fabian Washington, and Walt Harris are the notable players that watched the practice. I did not see Safety Ed Reed at the practice but …

NFL power rankings 1-10: Brian Hradsky

1. New Orleans Saints- Drew Brees is one of my favorite players to watch, they can score whenever they want. I can’t take the Superbowl champs out of the top spot. 2. Indianapolis professional football team- Peyton Manning makes any team a contender. He makes his wide receivers look better than they really are. It …
