SPIRITED PERFORMANCE NOT ENOUGH AS JHU SLUMPS TO SECOND CONSECUTIVE DEFEAT

Just like in the game against Randolph-Macon where the Blue Jays lost in over-time , The Johns Hopkins women’s basketball team fell short of having a spectacular come back against the The Cardinals. The fight back in the third quarter was not enough as the 33-19 gap difference at the half proved to be too wide a lead to overcome.

Victory for the Blue Jays  against the Cardinals would have made it six straight wins, but the defeat on Wednesday night now means Johns Hopkins are now 5-8 against Catholic.  The result means the Blue Jays now have a result of 4-2 in the conference and 5-6 overall in the standings.

Attention for the Blue Jays should now be shifted to the game against Ursinus on January 6, which falls on a Saturday. This is going to be Ursinus first game in 2018. Their last game was a comprehensive 75-50 victory over Immaculata december 19th of last year. The Ursinus Bears have a result 3-3 in the conference and 6-5 in the standings. Let us hope the Blue Jays have enough to halt a run of two straight losses this weekend.
