South Carolina Stingrays lose third game in first round of ECHL Playoffs 2-1after OT!

The Washington Capitals and Hershey Bears ECHL affiliate the South Carolina Stingrays have made it to the first round of The Kelly Cup Playoffs and lost in the game 1 to the Orlando Solar Bears. Mason Mitchell who spent all but the last two weeks of the season in Hershey scored the only goal for the Stingrays at 7:47 in the first period. It would take less than ten minutes for the Solar Bears to pull ahead with a Joe Perry goal at 16:46.

Headed into the second period at 1-1 and the game would look the same throughout the next forty minutes going scoreless for two full periods. In sudden death OT….it would be Orlando scoring first with a 17:29 goal from Hunter Fejes winning the game and going ahead 3-0 in the series.

South Carolina plays again in Orlando Saturday night at 7pm.
