Rolando McClain plans on coming out of retirement
Last season the Baltimore Ravens signed Rolando McClain to a one-year contract. My thoughts on that transaction can all be found here and this was the Ravens press release on him. Before McClain even put on a Ravens jersey he got in more trouble and retired from football at the age of 23. Now McClain is planning on coming out of retirement.
McClain needed to get his head right and mature off the field. There is no questioning that McClain can play football, he had 244 career tackles before retiring. The Ravens would still hold McClain’s rights so he could be a huge player for the Ravens who are light at middle linebacker.
McClain has been tweeting that he has been working out hard and this string of tweets shows that he is serious.

There is still a question as to rather the Ravens would welcome McClain into their locker room but I have a feeling they will. I think a more mature and hungry McClain could be a huge plus for the Ravens.
UPDATE: McClain has begun working out with the Ravens as the NFL Network reported.
