Report: Redskins in trade talks about Trent Williams

One day after the reported signing of Donald Penn, the Washington Redskins appear to be shopping Pro-Bowl left tackle Trent Williams. Jeff Howe of The Athletic has reported that the Redskins are in trade talks about Trent Williams and the feeling around the league is that the New England Patriots could be involved.

This news also comes after Donald Penn reached out to Trent Williams about signing with the Redskins. The two linemen are friends. Penn told Williams that he was looking for a place that he could start. Penn still signed. That is an interesting piece of information and some possible insight into Williams’ thinking, right now. Stay tuned to the Maryland Sports Blog as the situation unfolds.
