Recap: Ravens Defeat Packers 26-13, improve to 2-0 in preseason play

The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Green Bay Packers by a score of 26-13, improving to a 2-0 record in preseason action at M&T Bank stadium on August 15th, 2019. As for Green Bay, the visitors dropped to 1-1 in preseason play, with one home and away game still yet to be played.

Moreover, Ravens signal-caller Lamar Jackson handled the quarterback duties for the first quarter, throwing for 58 yards off six completions and 10 attempts. Afterward, rookie quarterback Trace McSorley would take the responsibilities under-center and would go 8/13 for 74 yards and his first passing touchdown, which would go to Chris Moore. Joe Callahan would also see the field, throwing for 48 yards off two completions.

To summarize, the Ravens would end the first quarter of action with two field goals from Justin Tucker, including one from 52 yards out which would open the scoring. Green Bay would also get on the board, as kicker Mason Crosby drilled a field goal from 43 yards out prior to the conclusion of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Trace McSorley threw his first career touchdown pass to Chris Moore which would be logged as a 23-yard pass. Again, the Packers would nail another field goal before heading to the locker room, making it 13-6 with the Ravens clinging onto the lead.

However, would score their most points from tonight’s contest in the third quarter, where rookie scatback Justice Hill rushed for a one-yard score, and Justin Tucker would nail his third field goal of the night after Green Bay had scored a touchdown off a passing play. At the end of three, Baltimore would remain on top 23-13.

There wasn’t much to be seen in the fourth quarter, besides Justin Tucker hitting his fourth field goal of the night, which would be from 38 yards out and it would ultimately seal the victory for the Ravens.

Next, the Ravens will travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles next Thursday at Lincoln Financial Field on August 22nd, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. eastern standard time.
