Recap: Nationals Defeat Twins, 10-6

The Washington Nationals held off the Minnesota Twins, 10-6, on Saturday afternoon in spring training action. The Nats’ record now stands at 5-3. The Twins drop to 4-4.

Patrick Corbin pitched a very strong three innings for Washington. He threw 36 pitches and eight of the nine outs came as ground balls and pitching he hed 1 strikeout. Justin Miller had 1 strikeout and 2 runs. while pitching.

Offensively the long ball drew for Washington. Kurt Suziki and Brandon Snyder both did home runs for Washington. The fourth inning was a lot of action such as Kieboom and Eaton both doubled . In the eighth inning Brandon Snyder did a grand slam which three people scored after.

The Nationals will play the Houston Astros tomorrow afternoon in West Palm Beach.
