Ravens will have fans in stands in Week 8 for Steelers game

The Baltimore Ravens will be hosting fans in the stands of M&T Bank Stadium for the first time this season when they face their archrival Pittsburgh Steelers in Week Eight on Nov.1 coming off their Week Seven bye.

Maryland Governor Hogan and Baltimore City Mayor Young approved a plan that allows for 10 percent capacity at M&T Bank Stadium.

According to Young, the limit of fans in the lower bowl will be 3,000, the number in the club level 800 and 2,800 will be allowed in the upper level. The order also permits 500 fans in the suite level.

The plan that the Ravens submitted to both the Governor’s Office and Mayor’s office in August did not include opening the upper bowl to fans and the team will continue forward with that plan and will not open the upper bowl until further notice.

With that section of the stadium excluded, the adjusted number of fans that will be in attendance for the battle for midseason supremacy in the AFC North will be 4,300 between the other levels.

Tailgating will still be prohibited, and face coverings are required to be worn at all times, with the exception of when actively eating or drinking when in their seat.

The only other time the Ravens had non-essential personnel in attendance for games this season came in their last two home contests against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week Three and the Cincinnati Bengals in Week Five where 250 immediate family members of players, coaches and staff members.

“We are excited to welcome fans back to M&T Bank Stadium,” stated Ravens team President Dick Cass.
