Ravens waive Alex Collins

The Baltimore Ravens have waived running back Alex Collins today, just hours after he was arrested for his involvement in an auto accident in Owings Mills, not far from the team facility.

The crash occurred around 7:00 am on Friday morning, and police have not officially charged Collins, but he remains in their custody.

The police would also not release any information that would shed light on weather Collins was the driver or passenger in the vehicle.

In his second year with the team, Collins, 24, was racked up 516 total years and eight touchdowns in 2018, splitting time with Gus Edwards, Buck Allen and Kenneth Dixon in the backfield. He was a restricted free-agent.

If Collins is not claimed off of waivers, he will become a free-agent, but he is at risk of facing disciplinary measures by the league under their personal conduct policy.

The team made the announcement over their Twitter account.
