The Ravens have gotten an early start on their last offseason under GM Ozzie Newsome with the signing of the CFL’s Grey Cup MVP, WR DeVier Posey. The 27-year-old has had several stints in the NFL with the Houston Texans, New York Jets, and Denver Broncos and has amassed a measly 272 yards from 22 catches over the course of 26 NFL contests.
Posey, during his hiatus from NFL action, has been playing with the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts for the past 2 seasons. In the Grey Cup back in November, Posey posted a stat line of 7 catches for 175 yards with a majority of his yards coming on a record long 100-yard touchdown. He was let out of his contract by HC Marc Trestman recently, allowing him to take calls from suitors in the NFL.
