Ravens Sign Veteran Cornerback, Fuller
The Baltimore Ravens signed cornerback Kyle Fuller, 30, to a one-year deal on Wednesday. The Baltimore native, and Mount Saint Joseph High School graduate returns home to play for his third team in seven seasons.
Drafted by the Chicago Bears with the 14th overall selection in the 2014 NFL draft, Fuller spent six seasons with the Bears, earning Pro-Bowl honors in 2018 and 2019.
Fuller was released by the Bears at the end of the 2020 season and was signed by Denver Broncos on a one-year $9.5 million dollar deal. Fuller started 10 games for the Bears but began to lose playing time with the emergence of rookie cornerback Patrick Surtain II.
In his career Fuller has combined for 441 total tackles, four forced fumbles, 86 pass deflections, and 19 interceptions.
With Fuller’s signing, the Ravens now have 10 corners on the active roster. With the status of All-Pro cornerback Marcus Peters still in the air, as he returns from a season ending knee injury, the Ravens hope Fuller can add some veteran depth to a position that was decimated by injuries during the 2021 season.
