Ravens sign safety Brynden Trawick

The Baltimore Ravens have signed safety Brynden Trawick, according to Jeff Zrebiec of the Athletic. Prior to being signed, Trawick was worked out by the Ravens on Wednesday, and they would also sign linebacker Nicholas Grigsby at the same time.

The 29-year-old will be making his return to Baltimore, as he was signed as an undrafted rookie in 2013 out of Troy(after departing from Michigan State).

In his career, Trawick appeared in 38 games for the Ravens, while spending a lone season(2015) playing for the Oakland Raiders and most recently, appearing in 32 games in the last two seasons for the Tennessee Titans. While playing for Tennessee, Trawick was named to the AFC Pro Bowl team in 2017.

Trawick is a solid in-the-box safety that can deliver big hits while having the ability to make open-field tackles. The former Pro Bowler can also be described as a quick, smart player that can “diagnose plays well,” according to 24/7 Sports.

Statistically, Trawick has snagged one interception in his career, while logging 39 combined tackles in his career.

Look for Trawick to serve as a veteran backup for the Ravens, and to potentially see preseason action as he adjusts to his new home.

Welcome to Baltimore, Brynden Trawick.
