Ravens sign kicker Shayne Graham

The Baltimore Ravens have announced that they have signed veteran kicker Shayne Graham.  Billy Cundiff has been dealing with a calf injury that has effected his performance.  Graham was with the Ravens during the 2010 training camp, I actually attended one of his press conferences, here are the sound clips here and the other.  Here is the press release from the Ravens.

The Baltimore Ravens have signed K Shayne Graham to their 53-man roster, it was announced Wednesday morning.

Graham is an 11-year veteran who has seen action in 138 career games, including two this season with the Miami Dolphins. He was released from the team on Nov. 30.

Graham has converted 212 of 247 (85.8%) career field goal attempts during his career and 321 of 326 point after touchdowns. In his two contests with Miami this season, he was 4-for-5 on FGAs and 6-for-6 on PATs.

Graham has also spent time on the active rosters of the New York Giants (2010), New England Patriots (2010), Cincinnati Bengals (2003-09), Carolina Panthers (2002) and Buffalo Bills (2001). He originally signed with New Orleans as an undrafted free agent in 2000.

To make room for the roster move, Baltimore placed rookie OLB Chavis Williams (foot) on Injured Reserve.

Chavis Williams was used as a special teams player and played well.
