Ravens sign Joe Flacco to one-year deal

The Baltimore Ravens have signed quarterback Joe Flacco to a one-year deal, the Ravens announced today. The Ravens are bringing back their former Super Bowl MVP to backup Lamar Jackson.

The Ravens traded Flacco to the Denver Broncos last off season for a third round pick. The Ravens used that to draft running back Justice Hill.

Flacco did not play well on a horrible Broncos team and finished the season on injured reserve. The Broncos offensive line played like high schoolers for most of the season and let Flacco be a gloried sack bag.

The Ravens have the reigning MVP Flacco’s Ravens replacement Lamar Jackson who will be the clear number one. Flacco will be the backup quarterback.

Talks with the Ravens started when Flacco went to Marshal Yanda’s retirement press conference.

“I had five kids while playing for the Ravens,” Flacco said. “We want more kids and had no luck in Denver”

A healthy Flacco can still win football games is a solid upgrade over RGIII as a backup. Flacco clearly became humbled by his time in Denver and wanted to come back to the team that treated him well.
