Ravens select Wenning with the 194 pick

The Baltimore Ravens have selected quarterback Keith Wenning with their final pick in the draft.  Wenning was the 194th overall pick in the draft.  The Ravens were looking for a backup quarterback to challenge Tyrod Taylor who is in the final year of his contract.  The Ravens were disappointed in how Taylor has played and Wenning will challenge him.

Wenning is more of a passing quarterback and has 92 passing touchdowns in his career at Ball State.  Wenning also has decent size for a quarterback at 6’3” 220 pounds.  Last season Wenning threw 35 touchdowns and seven interceptions, that is a very good ratio.

Wenning is a solid pick for the Ravens and could be the Ravens backup for years, he will not do anything flashy but I think he can be a solid NFL player.

Here are some highlights of Wenning.
