Ravens select DT Broderick Washington Jr. with the 171 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft

The Baltimore Ravens have selected Texas Tech defensive tackle Broderick Washington Jr. with the 171 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft. Washington had 7.5 career sacks and started 37 career games for Texas Tech. Washington has gotten plenty of experience and has stayed durable.

Washington is 6’2″ 305 pounds and will add more weight to the already stout defensive line. The Ravens will have a young healthy option in Washington who will likely compete for snaps on defense as a backup.

Washington is known for hard work and leadership qualities he has a chance to live up higher than his 5.9 draft grade.

I like this pick as the defensive line gets younger.
