The Baltimore Ravens lost to the Indianapolis professional football team 20 to 13.  The offense played poorly but the defense had one of their best games of the season, keeping the Ravens in the game and forcing timely turnovers.  C.J. Mosley had a Ray Lewis like game against Indy.

Defensive line: The defensive line held Indy’s running game to only 117.  The defensive line needed to pressure Andrew Luck more they only recorded one sack and gave him way too much time in the pocket.  Haloti Ngata did have an important interception.  Grade B

Linebackers: C.J. Mosley had an interception and 15 tackles in a phenomenal game.  Mosley also hit Luck so hard that he coughed the ball up to Haloti Ngata.  Daryl Smith also had a good game with eight tackles.  Courtney Upshaw also had a good game.  This unit was not the problem in the game.  Grade A

Secondary:  The Ravens secondary played much better than in past games but still game up some big plays.  The secondary had a big task playing against Indy and lived up, they gave up some big plays but nothing longer than 30 yards.  Jimmy Smith had another good game and Lardarius Webb had a much better game.  Grade C+

Overall: The defense played great and played well enough to win this game.  Words can not say how good Mosley played.  Grade B+

Special Teams: Jacoby Jones let the ball hit him on a punt and Indy recovered after the defense played a great series.  Sam Koch and Justin Tucker played well but that turnover really hurt the Ravens.  Grade C

Coaching staff: The coaching staff abandoned the running game way too early and some Ravens did not seem ready to play.  Grade C
