Ravens Report Card: 11/18/2018

The Baltimore Ravens beat the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday 24 to 21 in Lamar Jackson’s first career start.

Quarterback: Lamar Jackson did well running the ball but throwing it was an adventure. Most of his passes were well behind receivers and he threw an interception. Jackson completed 13 out of 19 passes for 150 yards. Jackson also ran the ball for 117 yards. Grade C

Running backs: Undrafted rookie free agent Gus Edwards had a huge breakout game. Edwards rushed for 115 yards on 17 carries, an average of 6.8 yards per carry. Edwards and Alex Collins both had touchdowns. Grade B

Receivers: The Ravens receivers did not have many chances. Willie Snead had five receptions and Nick Boyle had four receptions. Chris Moore had a highlight reel catch. Grade B

Offensive line: This unit blocked very well, they were fresh coming off a bye week. Jackson was sacked twice but other than that. Grade B

Overall Offense: The Ravens offense looked a lot different without Flacco. With Jackson rhe Ravens will not be a high flying offense but a power running team. Grade B

Defensive line: The Ravens defensive line held the Bengals to just 48 yards rushing. This unit also pressured Andy Dalton. Much improved game. Grade B

Linebackers: Tyrus Bowser and Matthew Judon combined for a sack. Kenny Young lead the Ravens in tackles. Terrell Suggs had a good game as well. Grade B

Secondary: Marlon Humphrey was back and looked healthy. This unit was helped with AJ Green not playing. This unit only allowed 207 yards in the air. Grade A

Overall defense: The Ravens defense finally stopped the Bengals in clutch situations. Grade B

Special Teams: Justin Tucker was perfect on the day and hit a 56 yarder. Koch had some great punts. Grade A

Coaching Staff: This team was fully ready with a Lamar Jackson game plan. Grade B
