Ravens cut Woodhead let Howard walk

The Baltimore Ravens have cut running back Danny Woodhead and declined to pickup offensive linemans Austin Howards option.  The Ravens will save about $1.8 million in salary cap money by cutting Woodhead.

Woodhead was injured half of the season last season but still was vital on some third down plays.

Woodhead is 33 and has been injury prone.  Still when Woodhead is on the field he is a difference maker.  The Ravens are deep at running back but if they brought Woodhead back at a cheap deal it would bennefit the team.

The Ravens signed James Hurst to a four-year deal yesterday so it became obvious Howard was going to walk.  Howard is another player the Ravens could bring back in a salary cap friendly deal.
