Ravens announce signing of Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens announced today that they signed rookie QB Lamar Jackson to his first NFL contract. It appears that Lamar choosing his mom to represent him did not hold up negotiations.

Just like all first round picks, this one is a four year deal with a team option for a fifth year. Part of Ozzie Newsome’s genius of getting Lamar with 32nd pick was to get that fifth year option.

The first reports from Coach John Harbaugh and Safety Pro Bowler Eric Weddle have been promising. The only question that remains is when will see Lamar this season? not if.

With this signing 11 out of 12 Ravens draft picks have been signed. Only Hayden Hurst, the other first rounder, remains unsigned.
