Ravens agree to terms with Steve Smith

Panthers WR Steve Smith sitsThe Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms with wide receiver Steve Smith, according to Aaron Wilson.  The deal for Smith is a three-year deal worth $11 million.  The Ravens already signed linebacker Daryl Smith today, they like players that have a last name of Smith.

The Ravens were looking for a veteran wide receiver to help them move the chains on third down, Smith can do that.  Smith can make the tough catches and is an extremely tough player.

Age is a factor for Smith who is 34 years old and heading into his 14th season.  Smith has a long list of accomplishments in his 13 NFL seasons including being named to five Pro Bowls.

Last season, Smith played 15 games and had 64 catches for 745 yards and four touchdowns.

Here is the tweet from the Ravens making the deal official.
