Ravens agree to terms with RB Ingram

The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms to a three-year deal with former Saints running back Mark Ingram, according to Adam Schefter. Ingram will get $15 million over three years. The Ravens have just agreed to terms with Earl Thomas.

Ingram was originally drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 2011 with the 28th overall pick in the NFL draft. Ingram has spent his entire eight year career with the Saints. For the Saints Ingram has scored 50 rushing touchdowns and has 6007 rushing yards.

Ingram has also been very valuable in the passing game 228 receptions for a total of 1598 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Ingram is a solid runner and comes at a very good cost. Ingram will join running back Gus Edwards in the backfield. Edwards emerged as a standout power back after going undrafted.

The Ravensh released Alex Collins earlier this off season after he was arrested. Collins was likely to get cut regardless of his off the field issues.

I like this Ingram deal, the Ravens get a good running back who can help the offense in multiple ways for a good cost.
