Ravens Acquire Josh Oliver From the Jacksonville Jaguars

The Baltimore Ravens continue their busy offseason with acquiring Tight End Josh Oliver from Jacksonville. In exchange for Oliver, the Ravens send a conditional 2022 draft pick over to the Jaguars. The pick potentially being a seventh-round pick if Oliver makes the team.

Oliver was drafted 69th overall in the 2019 draft by the Jaguars. Oliver, a San Jose State product, posted a productive senior season with 56 Rec, 706 yds, and 4 TDs. In his rookie season, Oliver was limited to four games (6 targets, 3 Rec, 15yds) due to a season ending back injury in November. Oliver continue to struggle with injuries the following year, missing the entire 2020 season due to a broken foot.

At the NFL combine in 2019, Oliver was projected to be a skilled tight end with needs of development. At 6’5, 249 lbs, Oliver provides Lamar Jackson another big target. But, Oliver will need to continue to develop with fellow tight ends Mark Andrews, Nick Boyle, and Eric Tomlinson on the roster.
