Preview: Redskins Versus Broncos Preseason Week Three

The Washington Redskins will take on the Denver Broncos in game number three of a four game preseason schedule today at FedEx Field on August 24th, 2018. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM EST, while several other games will take place tonight. Currently, Washington stands at a 1-1 win-loss record, with a loss to the New England Patriots by a score of 26-17, and a win over the New York Jets by a score of 15-13. The Broncos are placed at a 0-2 win-loss record, with losses to the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 42-28 and to the Chicago Bears by a score of 24-23.

Historically, the two teams have played for a grand total of 14 times in the regular season, along with Super Bowl XXII, which the Redskins ended up stomping the Broncos by a score of 42-10. Additionally, in their most recent matchup, the Redskins won by a score of 27-11, with a different Quarterback by the name of Kirk Cousins, current Vikings starter. As for the preseason, the two teams have never faced off against each other.

Look for the starters to get a minimal amount of playing time, potentially a couple drives for each starting Quarterback. Afterward, expect Redskin Quarterbacks Colt McCoy and Kevin Hogan to obtain the rest of the game, while Case Keenum, Trevor Siemian, and others will split the playing time. Additionally, Redskins Running Back, Adrian Peterson, is expected to make his Washington debut tonight. Lastly, my score prediction is that the Redskins defeat the Broncos by a score of 20-16.
