Predicting the Orioles healthy starting lineup

695px-J.J._HardyThe Baltimore Orioles have missed Manny Machado for the entire season so far and lately J.J. Hardy has also missed time with back spasms. With Delmon Young coming on strong and doing well in the lineup the Orioles will have some tough decisions to make. Steve Lombardozzi has also played well and has put together some very good at bats.

As of now I have a few ideas for the Orioles regular starting lineup. Here is the first prediction.

Nick Markakis RF
Manny Machado 3B
Adam Jones CF
Chris Davis 1B
Nelson Cruz LF
Delmon Young DH
J.J. Hardy SS
Matt Wieters C
Jonathan Schoop 2B

After Cruz the lineup gets hard to predict. Young, Hardy and Wieters can bat in any order but Young seems to be the most balanced hitter average wise. Schoop will have the most competition for his position and David Lough will get time but the Orioles will have to find a way to keep everyone involved.

Here is another lineup that could be used when Lough is in the lineup.

Markakis RF
Machado 3B
Jones CF
Davis 1B
Cruz DH
Hardy SS
Wieters C
Schoop 2B
Lough LF
