Orioles use long ball to push past Blue Jays as they take game three 6-4 Recap: 8/3/19

The Orioles took the field looking to take game three of this four game series. The Blue Jays have scored eleven runs this series to the Orioles four. The Birds sent Dylan Bundy to the mound in hope of a better outcome.

Dylan Bundy pitched well tonight, allowing just two runs off five hits in 5.1 innings with seven strikeouts. Bundy’s performance helped keep his team in striking distance.

The Blue Jays got on the board in the first, when Vlad Guerrero Jr. doubled in the games first run.

The Blue Jays extended their lead in the third following a solo home run. This made it a 2-0 game.

The Orioles used the long ball to there advantage in the fifth inning. Jonathan Villar started it with a solo shot to cut the Orioles deficit to 2-1.

The big blow of the game came off the bat of Trey Mancini, when he smashed his twenty-sixth of the year. This three run home run gave the Orioles the lead at 4-2.

The Blue Jays made in interesting in the seventh inning. Richard Bleier came on to pitch, and allowed a game tying two run home run.

The Orioles would answer in the bottom of the seventh, going ahead 6-4. Hanser Alberto scored Chris Davis on a single, and that was followed by a RBI ground out by Trey Mancini.

Paul Fry came on in the ninth and secured the win. He recorded the save (3) and Michael Givens earns the win (2-5)

Our MSB Orioles player of the game is Trey Mancini. Boom Boom came in clutch with the go ahead three run homer, then finished it off with his rbi in the seventh. Mancini finished the game with four of the six orioles runs.
