Orioles Transactions: Andrew Cashner expected to miss one start

While we wait for news about Manny Machado, the Baltimore Orioles have announced that Andrew Cashner is heading to the DL with lower back strain. To replace him the Orioles have recalled left Donnie Hart.

Cashner has had an up and down season after joining the Orioles via free agency this past season. He came to Baltimore with expectations that he would be the number three in the lineup but then became the fourth with the signing of Alex Cobb. In 13 started games this season he owns a 4.98 ERA with a 2-8 record.

Donnie Hart returns once again to the Orioles. He looks to prove that he can be a permanent piece of the bullpen. It is worth noting that the Orioles chose Hart over Tanner Scott. Donnie has a 1.59 ERA in the MLB and a 2.66 ERA in AAA.
