Orioles trade Lindstrom for Saunders
The Baltimore Orioles have traded Matt Lindstrom to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for Joe Saunders. The Orioles will also get cash from the Diamondbacks. A player to be named later will also go to the Diamondbacks.
Saunders is an innings eater starting pitcher and rooted for the Orioles as a kid. Saunders career ERA is 4.17 and he is 6-10 this year with a 4.22 ERA.
Lindstrom is a flame thrower, the Orioles called up Jake Arrieta to replace him in the bullpen.
Lindstrom was valuable for the Orioles who have a very strong bullpen. Arrieta has the potential to do what Lindstrom did for the Orioles.
